I found Sahara resort one of the nicest places you can go to especially on weekends, when the weather is nice, and all you want is a quiet place where you can relax and get away from all the crowd and noise.
Honestly I never liked or was in anyway interested in golf. I always thought it was kind of dull, until I first visited Sahara and one of the staff members was nice enough to teach me how to play. It is definitely not as easy as it seems, it takes a lot of concentration and talent. If you like this sport you should definitely give this place a visit.

Where can you find it?
This resort is located on the sixth ring road. As a matter of fact it is so close to the shooting range I mentioned in my previous post. It is pretty hard to miss.
More about Sahara
Sahara isn't only a golf course, it is an entire resort that has professional spas, villas and chalets, swimming pools (indoor and outdoor), golf packages and a really classy restaurant.
Artificial lake |
The Golf course they have is built to professional standards. It was crafted by the same designer of golf courses in Doha and Jabal Ali. It is almost 6000 yards long and has up to 3 or 4 artificial lakes and thousands of trees. Even if you aren't interested in Golf, dinning in their restaurant while viewing the beautiful green scenery and enjoying the fresh air is relaxing.
From the inside it also has a large pro shop that sells all golf related equipment in addition to sport clothes and shoes, a nice coffee shop and a snack bar, massage rooms, hair salons, sauna and Jacuzzi, mixed gym, a play room for children and squash and tennis courts. So it is basically perfect for all ages.
If you ever decide to visit this resort, here's a list of what you should expect:
· Beautiful green scenery.
· A very relaxing and quiet place to hang out in.
· Various types of sports you can enjoy (golf, swimming, tennis…etc.)
· Professional and highly trained staff that are attentive at all times.
· A very delicious buffet
