Pro Kart

If you love karting, speed and racing, then this is a great place for you to visit. It is a bit far from the city and the crowd but it's definitely worth trying out. Pro Kart is the first professional karting track in Kuwait. They also run competitions and give prizes and medals to contestants. It is better to go there in the early evening before it gets packed so you can race with your friends only and have the entire track for yourself. It is located on the sixth ring road, right on the opposite side of 360 mall, just look out for the signs they'll tell you where to go.
Check out this video I recorded of my visit

Your opinion matters

In my last two posts I have tried to show you some of my best places to go to in Kuwait. I have uploaded pictures and wrote my personal opinion based on my experience. However, some of you might have visited the same places before and maybe didn’t have a good experience like I did and that’s because people have different opinion, interests and personalities.
I have made a small survey that will take you less than 5 minutes to complete, it will help me to know more about people’s taste, likes and dislikes, and preferences when it comes to spending a good time around Kuwait. This survey will also help me to improve my blog and focus on your interests.
It will be great if you can help me by completing this survey.

Sahara Kuwait golf Resort

Sahara Golf Resort
I found Sahara resort one of the nicest places you can go to especially on weekends, when the weather is nice, and all you want is a quiet place where you can relax and get away from all the crowd and noise.
Honestly I never liked or was in anyway interested in golf. I always thought it was kind of dull, until I first visited Sahara and one of the staff members was nice enough to teach me how to play. It is definitely not as easy as it seems, it takes a lot of concentration and talent. If you like this sport you should definitely give this place a visit.

Where can you find it?
This resort is located on the sixth ring road. As a matter of fact it is so close to the shooting range I mentioned in my previous post. It is pretty hard to miss.
More about Sahara
Sahara isn't only a golf course, it is an entire resort that has professional spas, villas and chalets, swimming pools (indoor and outdoor), golf packages and a really classy restaurant.
Golf course

Artificial lake

The Golf course they have is built to professional standards. It was crafted by the same designer of golf courses in Doha and Jabal Ali. It is almost 6000 yards long and has up to 3 or 4 artificial lakes and thousands of trees. Even if you aren't interested in Golf, dinning in their restaurant while viewing the beautiful green scenery and enjoying the fresh air is relaxing.

Professional golf shop

From the inside it also has a large pro shop that sells all golf related equipment in addition to sport clothes and shoes, a nice coffee shop and a snack bar, massage rooms, hair salons, sauna and Jacuzzi, mixed gym, a play room for children and squash and tennis courts. So it is basically perfect for all ages.

Kuwait Shooting Range

Shooting Range Complex

I have always wondered what it would be like to shoot a real gun and if it is as easy and cool as we see in movies. If you have wondered about the same thing, then it would be a great idea to visit the shooting range in Kuwait. Last Friday may 13th my friend and I finally decided to check it out and see what it is like. I personally thought it was an AWESOME outlet to stress or frustration. I can't wait to go again.

Where is it?
It is located on the sixth ring road.  A lot of people think it's far away but it only took me around 15 minutes to get from Salmiya to it. Once you get on the sixth ring road all you have to do is follow the signs because it's pretty easy to spot.

The Complex from inside

What is it like from the inside?
When my friend and I first got there, the exterior of the building looked kind of old. We walked in and we had to give our civil IDs to the receptionist. Then we headed downstairs where we had to sign a statement of own accountability if anything goes wrong (that got me worried abit), Then they gave us a catalogue so we could pick what type of guns we wanted (which I thought was pretty cool).

Diiferent types to choose from

Me and my friend both picked the 9mm pistol as it’s suppose to be the perfect gun for people who try shooting for the first time, then we were escorted to the range. It was surprisingly LOUD in there, even with our ear muffs on we were still going deaf.

The sets of bullets
A professional trainer gave me instructions on how to load the gun and how to handle it, how to aim and shoot, and of course some safety instructions to follow. It was the first time I ever held a real gun let alone shooting it. The first time I tried to shoot at the center of the target (cardboard) I missed but all my shots were within range. They were all surprisingly close to the target but I got 3 or 4 right in the middle out of 20 shots.

Aiming to shoot

Why did I like it?
All the trainers were impressed of my score considering that I was a first timer; it was such a boost for my ego actually. Although the gun was loud and heavy, it also had a bit of a kick once you pull the trigger, but it made me feel all cool and dangerous at the same time. It was so unlike what we see in movies though, definitely not as easy as one would think. The staff was very nice; we were also given a small souvenir bullet from the manager of the complex. I absolutely loved the experience it was so relieving and I had tons of fun.

·         Lots of fun
